Vikos canyon is at a distance of 3,5 km from Zissis hotel. It is the deepest and the longest canyon in Europe and offers outstanding scenery. At the feet of canyon’s left wall, aprox. 1350 m tall, are the sources of the Voidomatis River.

Voidomatis River, just 2,5 Km away from Aristi, has the fame of being the clearest river in Europe, with water fit to drink.

Papingo, one of the most beautiful, for its scenery, Zagori villages, is 10 minutes up the road, and 300m.up the mountain from our hotel.

There are over 60 stone bridges in the area, many of them located close to the village of Kipi.

The village of Dilopho is one of the most typical for its architecture and well preserved villages of Zagori.

There are numerous monuments to visit in the area, such as the monastery of Panayia Speleotissa. Inside one can see a fascinating honeycomb of caves. The monastery, one of 25 in Zagori area, is situated on a cliff overlooking the Voidomatis river and a forest of plane trees, just 2,5 Km away from our hotel.

Dracolimni (the dragon's lake) is at an altitude of 2100 m, four hours walk from the village of Papingo, the closest starting point. It is situated on top of the mount Tymphe, the dominating mountain of Zagori.

Over 1750 species of wild plants and flowers are recorded in Zagori. Nevertheless Zagori keeps several rare fauna species such as brown bears, chamois, birds of prey, lynxes, otters, etc.

Ioannina city, in less than an hour’s drive from our hotel, is offering numerous historical and cultural interests, as well as a reach market for traditional widely known silverware.

Finally, one of the most famous and oldest sites of the ancient Greek world and many other places of interest are within one and a half hour's drive from our hotel.
